If seeing all **Seven Wonders of the World** is on your bucket list, Jordan is the perfect place to start. It’s a nearby destination, yet it feels like an entirely different world—a welcoming country with friendly people and spectacular landscapes. Its otherworldly scenery has provided the backdrop for numerous films and inspired countless artists. Jordan combines a Mediterranean climate with vast desert landscapes and a rich history, and this journey is designed to make the most of every aspect of it. Now close your eyes and imagine yourself wandering through the ancient city of **Petra**, gazing at the stars from a desert landscape that resembles the surface of Mars, floating effortlessly in the **Dead Sea**, and experiencing the captivating atmosphere of the Middle East. Staying in traditional Bedouin tents in the **Wadi Rum desert**, riding camels, exploring the landscape in local vehicles, and enjoying a traditional Bedouin evening with dinner under the desert sky add an unforgettable dimension to a journey that can truly be described as an adventure. And you’ll experience it all with great company—because this won’t be just another ordinary tour group.
The day has finally arrived to leave your routine and worries behind in Greece… because you’re going on a trip! We gather at the airport and get to know each other. Once we arrive in Amman and collect our luggage, we depart for Wadi Musa. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, but the time will pass quickly as you receive your first introduction to this wonderful country along the way. We have travelled to Jordan many times and know this destination very well. Once we settle in, you’ll have the opportunity to try some local food. Tonight, we stay overnight in Wadi Musa.
From today, we dive straight into the history and beauty of this fascinating country. Early in the morning, we depart for Petra, one of the 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The “Lost City” still has secrets waiting to be discovered. Thousands of years ago, the now-abandoned city of Petra was a thriving metropolis of around 30,000 inhabitants. Its only entrance is through a narrow gorge surrounded by mountains, leading you into an extraordinary city carved directly into the rocks. Camels, donkeys and friendly locals will be among the first sights you encounter. Put on comfortable shoes and get ready, because as you walk, one impressive monument after another will unfold before you, culminating in the magnificent Treasury! You will admire the Royal Tombs, the Byzantine church, which was discovered relatively recently, and the Roman side of the city, where the Temple of the Daughter of Pharaoh is located. Without a doubt, Petra is a destination that will impress you even if you consider yourself a very experienced traveller! In the evening, you can optionally enjoy a drink at the Cave Bar, considered one of the oldest bars in the world, as it is located inside a 2,000-year-old cave. The cave itself was originally carved by the Nabataeans as a tomb.
After a good breakfast, we head towards the “Valley of the Moon”, the spectacular Wadi Rum desert. The film Lawrence of Arabia introduced its beauty to the rest of the world, attracting not only Hollywood productions but also thousands of travellers. Covering an area of 720 square kilometres, it is Jordan’s second most important attraction after Petra, and tonight we will “camp” here. This is an experience for those who want something different from another luxurious hotel stay. We will discover the “Valley of the Moon” in a very special way. We board local vehicles, with Bedouin drivers who are the ideal guides to introduce you to the secrets of the desert. Put on your turban, climb into one of the vehicles (6 people per vehicle) and experience a unique sense of freedom in this extraordinary desert landscape. In the evening, we will camp here, where our new Bedouin friends will introduce us to their famous hospitality with a traditional dinner. And all of this takes place in the most magical setting, beneath a sky filled with stars!
Waking up in the desert is a special experience. If you wish, you can optionally wake up early to watch the sunrise during a memorable camel ride through the desert. Afterwards, we head towards the Sweimeh area. Another natural wonder awaits us here in Jordan: the Dead Sea. It is the lowest point on Earth, and it is practically impossible to sink! This is because its water contains approximately ten times more salt than regular seawater. Be careful though—don’t dive in! You’ll regret it if the extremely salty water gets into your eyes. Here, you will have the opportunity to swim, or rather float, and enjoy the therapeutic properties associated with its mineral-rich waters. We then continue towards Jordan’s capital, Amman, where we will spend the night.
Wake up, grab a strong coffee and get ready for a day that has everything—ancient vibes and impressive sights. Our first stop is Jerash, just about an hour from Amman and home to one of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in the world. Walk through the Oval Plaza surrounded by enormous columns, climb to the South Theatre for wonderful views and atmosphere, and don’t forget to take a photo in front of the Temple of Artemis. In the afternoon, take things at a relaxed pace in the city centre. Walk along Rainbow Street, discover local shops, sit down for a coffee with a view or visit the Citadel for one of the best panoramic views over Amman. This is your day, designed for exploration without pressure and at a pace that you decide.
Today, after breakfast, we head to the airport for our return flight. And just like that, this journey comes to an end. In just a few days, you will have seen many incredible places, experienced unforgettable moments and adventures, and made new friends along the way! So, if your usual travel companions can’t join you, don’t worry—we know how to make you fall in love with solo travelling!
